Taos Honeydripper draws from the artist’s time living and working in Taos, New Mexico, from 1986 to 1994—a period where landscape, culture, and rhythm left a lasting imprint. A warm, sunlit upper field hovers above a cool expanse of blue, suggesting sky, horizon, and water without settling into literal description. Collaged elements, inked lines, and painted forms appear like fragments of memory—part architectural and part symbolic. The composition carries a sense of improvisation, where structure and spontaneity coexist. Subtle references to movement and sound ripple through the surface, giving the piece a quiet, syncopated energy. It’s less a depiction of place than a reflection of experience—where time, light, and memory converge.
