Earthy browns and oxidized tones ground Desert Vogue, where layered textures and gestural marks evoke the worn elegance of New Mexico's high desert. A striking turquoise block and subtle red accents punctuate the surface, creating moments of contrast within an otherwise weathered field. The piece balances raw materiality with a refined sense of composition, suggesting both resilience and quiet sophistication.

A richly worked surface defines Desert Vogue, where layers of warm earth tones are built, scraped, and revealed to create a sense of depth shaped by time and environment. Fine, looping incisions drift across the composition like wind-traced paths, adding a delicate counterpoint to the weight of the ground. A single turquoise form hovers off-center, offering a cool, luminous oasis that draws the eye and stabilizes the field, while restrained red elements introduce a subtle pulse of energy below. The interplay between abrasion and refinement gives the work its character—simultaneously rugged and composed—echoing the visual language of the desert itself, where erosion and elegance coexist. The result is a piece that feels both elemental and intentional, carrying a quiet confidence beneath its textured surface.
